November 1 through March 1 is $130. From March 1 forward the rate is $150. The later rate helps encourage early signups so the league can build sensible team counts and avoid oversized rosters. Payment plans may be offered through SportsConnect.

Registration begins November 1. SCLL will generally keep trying to place children as space allows, even later in the spring, but early registration gives the league the best chance to build balanced team counts.

Players age 7 and younger may have more flexibility. Players age 8 and older generally need to live in St. Clair or attend a St. Clair school unless an approved waiver applies. Little League eligibility rules control final eligibility.

Depending on when you register, there may be a gap before your next league communication. Watch email and the Important Dates page for evaluations, practices, coach communication and schedules.

Tee-Ball 1 is generally ages 3–5 and uses the tee. Tee-Ball 2 Baseball is generally ages 4–6 and introduces coach pitching, with the tee available when needed. SCLL strongly encourages 5-year-olds to play Tee-Ball 2.

6U Softball is an introductory softball-focused division for most 5- and 6-year-old girls. Four-year-old girls may choose Tee-Ball 2 or 6U Softball.

SCLL primarily uses age-based divisions rather than trying to sort players by skill level, with the goal of keeping kids playing alongside peers.

Indoor practices for age groups above Tee-Ball begin in February. Outdoor practices usually begin in late March or early April as weather allows. Opening Day is May 1, 2027. Most regular-season games run into mid-to-late June.

Most regular-season games are Monday through Thursday after Opening Day, with teams generally playing twice per week. Practice days can vary and may occur Monday through Saturday.

SCLL uses player evaluation days for certain age groups to help build teams. For 2027, Softball evaluations are March 6 and Baseball evaluations are March 13.

Players should have their own glove, helmet and cleats. Teams can share bats. If cost is a barrier, ask SCLL about equipment assistance and donated gear.

Volunteer through the league registration process. Anyone stepping onto the field in a coaching or volunteer role must complete required background-check and abuse-awareness requirements.
